best Disinfecting Method

Hi! I'll be rescuing a cockatiel or two in the future, and have just harvested some Luffah (Loofah, Loofa, I have no Idea how to spell it.). I'm wondering what the best method is for disinfecting them, or if it's even necessary since it's been in a pod up until right about now. Thanks!

I would wash it well in just plain hot water (the hottest that you can get) air dry and spray with F-10 allow it to dry b/4 you give it to the birds.

You mix to your own dilution depending on what you're trying to prevent (it tells you on the package what dilutions kill what). Works very well and worth the price IMHO.
