Hi, my name is Barbara..i used to have a greencheek conure..He/she was about 12 yrs old.. my bird died about a month ago.. I know this doesn't make sense, but I was so upset that my bird died, that i went and bought another one that looks just like my other bird..i thought it would me feel better, but it didn't. When I bought the new bird, which I named cheeckie it made me realize all the things I did wrong with my other bird..and I don't want to do that again. So I joined this forum to be able to talk to other bird owners.

As has already been said, make sure you check out "Conure Court"...there are many roadies here with GCCs, and will gladly answer any questions or discuss your concerns about care for your little one...

Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry for your loss, in August it will be 3 years since I lost my first GCC and we still miss him and cry about it. Still have pictures up too. We still have his mate and a younger new friend for him, but one will ever replace another. They can be just as loved though
