Something that I've been asked over and over again is, "have you thought about making your Dinos in balsa?"

The answer is yes, and moving to cutting my own shapes last year was the first step to make that thought a reality.

These are the same size as their pine counterparts, but feature embedded cork as well as your choice of wood balls, beads, or millet.

If they last that long lol. But yes, you can refill them with food or beads. My pine ones last longer if you want something that can be used over and over again.

Pine nuts and sunflower seeds are easiest to put in the holes, but small millet works well too!

It could be nesty behavior. Budgies like hollowing out their own nests and I've seen them using these ole yucca kabobs as nesting sites:
