UPDATE:
My little Bean saw my avian vet today, she said there is no way to set the leg as the fracture is too high up the leg and more importantly it has been broken long enough that it started “healing” incorrectly. She said we can do one of 2 things: leave it a nonunion and give him pain meds the rest of his life or amputate the leg.
I had a feeling that would be the case. Bean is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, so please pray and send good juju his way!

Poor Bean! Hope all goes well and he has a nice recovery! Bean, you're in my prayers!

@rocky'smom About the manager you were writing about. If you want you can either write a letter or call the corporate office and note your complaints about him. That happened at one store and the manager was immediately removed from the store.

Here's hoping Bean will heal and enjoy a life of wonderful little budgie.

Bean will do fine. Birds get along with one leg pretty well. I wish I could remember the name of that little bird that had both legs amputated and was happy as could be - it's a senior moment with me though.

I am not too worried about post surgery, but the actual surgery itself. He is such a little guy and anesthesia is so harsh, I’m praying he handles it well and makes it through the surgery!

Bean spent last night snuggling me and I dropped him off at the vet about 2 hours ago. I am SO worried about him! His surgery is around 9am so hopefully I’ll be able to update at lunch tomorrow!
