It looks like you have a single dark factor peach faced lovebird. If you are sure that the father is the opaline, then all female babies will be opalines, and all male babies will not be opalines. Since he/she is so young, I am not sure if he/she is an opaline.

Oh my goodness, so cute!! :)

Matt is the mutations expert, and I see he has already responded! I hope the babies continue to do well. :)

Sorry I do not know about the age the colors are set. Should be pretty soon. Are you keeping them?

They won't get their adult birdy colors for a bit. I don't recall exactly how long it takes - maybe 6 months?
Trying to remember when Luna had all of hers. I think she was a polka dot baby bird by 2-4 months, so 6 months would be about right for all the grown up feathers I think.

Thank you everyone! So far I'm keeping them; my family and I are too attached to sell them (although we already have buyers lined up for the next clutch). These 3 babies were my lovebird pair's first surviving clutch out of 4 (it took a whole year). I am so very grateful for them!! ❤❤

Fluffy is an opaline. Since father is an opaline and this is a sex-linked mutation, fluffy is a female. I bred lovies for over 20 years and got into the opaline mutation a couple years
after they appeared. My original pair came from Linda Brandt of Big & Small Flocks. She has since retired and closed her aviary. Your babies are beautiful! Congrats!
