Never give up Chad. I've seen birds found weeks/months later.

I hope you come back and talk with us, I know your heart is broken right now.

I'm sure if you had good news we'd have heard it by now.

Hugs

Good morning guys. Prince Robert is back. I type this with tears in my eyes. I don't have much time this morning so I will summarize and elaborate later.

He flew away 30 December 2016 because of fireworks.
Someone had him and didn't wanna give him back on 22 February 2017.
He flew away from them because he wouldn't let them cut his wings on 11 September 2017.
On 5 October 2017 he returned home... weak, scrawny and scared.
Today, he looks so much better.

Thanks to my wife with put fresh Harrison's High Potency pellets, fruits, veggies, nuts and water every single day for 278 days. Most days I felt sad as I felt he wouldn't come back. When the other person had him and didn't wanna release him, I was devastated. Felt sorta relieved when he flew away from them.

He back...

The prodigal son has returned!

Welcome back Prince Robert!!

Chad, I was so terribly sad thinking that you had completely lost him and all of you were gone to us. I thought of your family often and hoped that a miracle would happen. Well, a miracle happened and Sir Robert is back where he belongs.

Please don't go away - I care so much for Robert and hope that we helped save him when he was a baby. Pictures would be extra special right now.

Realize that Chad lives in Trinidad, not in America. The laws are different. Even in the US possession has strong rights under the law. I don't believe that Robert had a leg band or chip - so no way to prove that he was Robert or that he belonged to Chad.

I'm not sure I could differentiate most macaws of the same species just from photos. And even if Chad could, that doesn't mean law enforcement would feel confident enough to seize a bird from someone who also claimed it was theirs. The details can be very fine, like facial feather pattern. I don't think that would be conclusive in a court's eyes.

I see where this could be a problem . Glad he's back where he belongs . In this way the others could say that Robert is their bird too ! Oh my ! I hope they don't try to claim him .
