!!! Attacked by dog (Sad Update #8)

My aunts bird was attacked by her dog and is in really bad condition they found her outside and she’s still breathing, no vet office are open and the only one that is says they won’t take birds, is there any kind of medication that you’d find otc I could give her for pain in hopes that she makes it through the night??

I think it's imperative that she start driving to the nearest emergency clinic. We can help find one if we know location.

Ask your Aunt to keep the bird warm and quiet while traveling.

Can you call the one vet that is open and see if they can help you with a number to an after hours AV? I do not think it is a good idea to self medicate especially in this type of scenario- dog saliva can be very fatal for birds so the chomping is not the only issue this bird is fighting right now.

A few to start with. If they don’t do emergency, ask them if they know who does. My AV has emergency instructions in her voice mail when someone calls the office number.
