Apache was just added to my flock recently.She is just a sweet heart.Still a baby,4 months old now.Don't know what caused her stress bands,When she molts I'm sure she will be even more beautiful.

Welcome-so happy to have another Hawkhead on the site! How did you get those great photos with the crown up? I can't seem to react that fast and always miss the photo moment. How long have you had Apache?

If you find it very difficult to get a snapshot of the moment, one thing you can try is to take a video of your HH. When you play it back, you can stop it where the crest goes up and take a still of that particular frame. The pic likely won't be in the best quality but at least you'll have a shot. Just a suggestion if you can't do it the conventional way.

She is absolutely gorgeous Where did you get her from?

Im sure you're probably aware but I just have to say please consider a harness outside - even clipped HH are very strong in their flight (is she clipped?). Cash my little pal can fly sopping wet - nothing slows the little man down.
