Dianne, I have been living in a 900 sq. ft. apt. for six years with my husband and older son. Plus the two budgies. It is very cramped, so I totally understand! You would have been an excellent home for them and I'm sure they'd have loved you and your two fids...






Many times I have wished for more space but you know when we have more space we have more birds! I sit here and can imaging 4 EB having fun together. Mickey is as sweet as they come. Murphy is a handsome fella with lots of spirit. Good luck to all and I am so glad things worked out. Many times they do not. Bob, your a great bird lover and I hope to see updates on the two you will be getting from Michelle.

You can change the title, though, I think. Maybe add -ADOPTED at the end?

I think there's going to be a good outcome here...I always say "no more", and there's no room for any more birds. The funny thing is that there IS room...and the thought of having a couple of EBs here is exciting.

Sky was an EB...I loved his calm and debonair attitude...he was the perfect "British" birdie...

When does all this happen?

We are working on the details of setting up a "birdie train"...there's going to be a lot of "moving parts" to it, so to speak.

I'll make sure everyone gets updated as time goes along...

I'm late to this party, but what an exciting read! It's like a little birdy saga with a happy ever after ending. That was fun!

Well. The situation has changed!!!! Happily for me.... Found out it was NOT Blimpie and Jeeves that was causing me to cough up blood and not be able to breathe. It was a side effect of a medication. I had to go to heaps of docs and specialists to get it figured out... but I am now much better!

After talking with Bob, he thought that the babies would be better off staying with me as they consider me their flock. He offered to take them in at any time in the future if my health changed... But as for now, I get to keep my Family!!! I was going to hand them over to Bob as we had already agreed on it and I didn't want to back out......... so my heart is VERY grateful that Bob is such an understanding Bird Friend. I didn't realize how much losing them was affecting me until I found out I could keep them. Then, I bawled like a baby and blubbered all over them!

Thank you all who helped me and prayed over this. It means the world to me and this site is FULL of WONDERFUL people.

Just an update... Jeeves and Blimpie will be staying with @ FreeByrd ...the situation has improved, so they can remain with her! I'll let Michelle post and give you all more details.

Decisions made like this that keep the bird's welfare in mind are good ones. Sometimes its the other way round. I had a chance to look at prototype of the new apartment I will be moving into today because I had my first interview with the manager there. Now I know for sure the apartment is too small for an additional bird.

Thats awesome for all involved, she is getting better and gets to keep her fids and has options if life ever goes sideways again.
When Momazon gave me Dobby we agreed that if my life got out of hand she gets first dibs at getting him back in her flock. It makes sense that they should go with some one they know and love if possible. Good on both of you.
