I've used almond flour in birdie bread before, but never even heard of coconut flour! Is it just like finely ground coconut meat, or?

Coconut flour is fine and powdering just like most other flours. We'll see what the SO comes up with when I'm away.:) I have some ideas of what I would like to do with it.

Saemma, what did you come up with? I regularly cook with chickpea flour (I make crackers out of it) but just got coconut flour todya for the first time and was looking for recipes. I swear I thought I saw one for healthy birdie pancakes....... :chin:

sounds like such a great idea. Jack loves sweet potato cooked in coconut milk... But I think I will try that... Please let us know how they turn out.

I've used almond flour but not coconut. I'll have to look for that as I bet it gives a nice flavor

I use coconut flour in cookies for us humans. Haven't used it parrot related meals, though :)

Not almond because of my allergy, but coconut all the time! Being gluten free, I use lots of different flours... for bird or dog items, or things like pancakes for myself, I just replace the regular flour in any recipe. Occasionally it does not work, but usually, it is just fine!
