Another first for Riti

She's been flying and landing on my shoulder for a bit now and when she landed today I offered her a sunflower seed and she took it and chowed down on right there. Every other time I offered her a seed she took off. Headway one baby step at a time.

Wonderful progress!! You are right, one baby step after another, and be prepared to go backwards sometimes.

I have been working with Riti for well over a year now. She has been the biggest challenge that I have had to deal with, of the feather kind that is. I let my birds take the lead when we're training but I finally had to step in and push her a little here and there. She's seems so much happier now that she's not as fearful and coming out of her cage and running and flying free. That's the beat reward I could ask for.
