Guess what today is? Yep, ran out of chop and had to make more. It looks a little wet, but it was still cooking. It was much drier once it finished and I let it cool
This is just the grain base:
1 c amarinth
1 c millet
1 c BRM 5 grain cereal
1.5 c quinoa...
2 c whole grain pasta
Some dried wheat berries (about 1/4 cup)

Then I added:
Hibiscus Flower
Rose hips
Dandelion leaf and roots
Carrot
Red & yellow bell peppers
Yellow squash
Zucchini squash
Red jalapeno
Mustard green
Kale
Rainbow chard
Parsley
Broccoli
Sweet potato (gotta have it in every batch! Even the Vet has recommended it)
Corn (gotta have this too. All three LOVE the corn!)

Went a little different this time and opted for a large base with no fruit. I will add fresh fruits and spices as I defrost each bag. Want to also start incorporating more dried flowers and things into their diets, so started with what I could find. Will search online and at the Natural store before I make the next batch.

Yeah, I put sweet potato in every batch, but stink pot will never let it touch her lips.

Haha! I usually cook it to mash, but left it much firmer this time and chopped into small pieces. Hoping they start taking to slightly bigger chunks of food. We will see how it goes.

Looks great! Did you try it? I found out that I like a lot of grain vegetable mixes :) That should last you a while :)

I actually did try some. Not bad! And just a small kick with the jalapenos. I mixed some pomegranate arils with tonight's batch. Rhema liked it, Rhoma ate 2 or 3 bites and walked off, Ernie hasn't even looked at it yet. All 3 are ready for out time, but I was cooking and chopping, Hubs was replacing the light fixture in their room, hanging a bamboo blind, and is now out mowing. I will let them out while I do laundry and clean up the kitchen.
