An unusual visitor to the bird feeders. Spotted by the wife. Only saw it the one time. She couldn't get very close to it. We'll keep an eye out, but it's not likely to survive very long in this area.
Well lets hope he goes to somebody and gets caught and his owners get him back. We had one that flew with the finches years ago. He was around all year as I guess they accepted him and they knew where the warm safe places to go and get food and water were. Those lil guys can keep up with the fastest small birds out there.
A couple of winters ago when we were hit with that polar vortex there was a little budgie hanging with the sparrows. I tried to lure him into a cage but all I got were squirrels. After a week or so he disappeared. I'd like to think that someone was able to catch him.
