I never like being woken up early, I get especially grumpy, but apparently my mom tried to move a rabbit off the road. When it failed to respond she took it home to ask for my help. The rabbit was in shock and seemed to have suffered from head trauma as it was bleeding from one of its ears and mouth. Occasionally it would hop around and shake its head, and I was relieved to see that it could move okay. My mother decided to name him Lucky in the two hours we cared for him to see if he would recover on his own. Later that day we took him to a wildlife rehab center where they could properly care for him. In a week I'll call and ask how he's doing but for now let's hope this lucky little guy powers through it!
Not enough people would stop to help a poor, injured wild bunny. Prayers up that he will be okay.
