Has anyone experienced their parrot or Amazon parrot pretending to bite their wing or leg and then make a loud squeaking sound when they are frustrated? Our parrot was with a Macaw for seven years, they shared an indoor lanai together, had separate cages and were allowed in and out of their cages anytime they wanted.

I've seen a lot of strange stuff but I have to pass on this one.

Mine make a lot of sounds though.

Yes, I've seen it twice, and heard of it from others too. One I knew was a rehomed hybrid. He did it regularly, in fact did it so often he had some feather loss on the leg.

The other was Chaos for a time when we had difficulties for a few years.

I think it's a behavior you see from frustration/anxiety.

Yes, I've only seen macaws do this. Not to say other parrots don't also.

Kiko is a rehome, so he does this regularly when he gets frustrated over almost anything. If my hands come too close when I am changing papers or food or water, when he argues with his hanging toy that 'refuses' to move away from him, if I don't talk to him when he wants me to, ect. I think this can happen in virtually any species of parrot, as I saw a Goffin's do this as well when I was visiting my family.

She is extremely seductive in tone. ;) It's matters not what she says, she always sounds like she is propositioning you.

I'll refrain from quoting phrases on this thread.
