I promised Iris that Ami would be back. She is absolutely completely and totally bonded to her. I almost thought about bringing her with but I didn't think the UW needed two birds to care for and Ams probably didn't need the added drama. They are cute together though!

Amarillo is done with her procedure and they did remove the egg through the cloaca! It was very adhered which we suspected. They think they got it all but there was a lot of blood involved. They are going to monitor now and are giving her antibiotics and antifungals and we are still in an "iffy" state but things are looking carefully good right now! Keep the good thoughts and prayers going! Dr. Parkinson said she'd call back in an hour or so with more information on how she was doing!

Just got another update! Ams is awake and CRANKY! I guess she was like this when she came out of the anesthesia from the first surgery and they take it as good news! Dr. Parkinson says she's acting like a little veliciraptor! Ok, so maybe she doesn't seem to like anesthesia all that much! LOL! She's going to get a Lupron shot later today and they're going to keep her overnight for sure to give her injectable medication but she should be ready to go sometime tomorrow depending on how she looks tomorrow. We're still kind of in a wait and see time for the next week or so but things look good! Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers for my baby!
