Am I doing good?

So I let my budgie be by himself for a few days to settle in. He's been seeing every one and everything. Today i started training him. I did my research on different methods and I have been pretty persistent about training. Is it a good thing that im able to get my hand next to/under him with out him freaking out?

Also, He started doing something weird with his beak. He has been opening and closing it with out sound. (Looks like he's talking) Is he panting? Is he dehydrated?
I have water for im in a tube feeder and in an open dish. I dont live in a hot area.
His poop still has urine in it. What does this mean?
This is my first parakeet and i named him budgie cause i liked the way it sounds.

I think it's great that he is comfortable with you putting his hand next to/under him! Just remember to go at his pace.

The yawning is probably him adjusting his crop. Most birds do this, especially after they preen. Perfectly normal!

@iamwhoiam His name is budgie and i think hes about 3-4 months.. his eyes are all black.

Good. Just introduced some leafy greens and carrots into his cage to start getting him used to the diet
