Air quality with a humidifier

So I've been a paranoid bird mama regarding our air quality - anxiously keeping track on the app on my phone which is hooked up to our air purifier! Typically our air quality is fantastic - at 1-2 ppm. Today, however, I set up our new humidifier. Now I'm panicking, because our air purifier is telling us our air quality is poor, with ppm >100! This may be a stupid question, but could this just be because of the extra water droplets in there air? Or am I doing something wrong which may be dangerous for our bird?
