After a little trip to the vet...

Blu is being such a sweetheart to me now... after being a nightmare demon child for a few months.

He just had a nail trim done and I *think* he realizes that he's actually got it pretty good with me and his house. I wonder how long it will last though? A few hours? A day?

After a vet trip how do your birds act? Are they sweet? Or do they hold a grudge?

I'm thinking I'd like to take Blu somewhere scary like once a week from now on

Bella isn't happy after the vet. She will yell at me the entire way home and then settle down after she feels like I've gotten appropriately punished.

It's normal for them to being tired after as they do get a lot of different impressions.

My birds just act a little tired after the vets, but are back to normal in no time. Vacations on the other hand, that's when they hold a grudge!

You do know that diva is her middle name. Even the vet calls her a diva as she turned herself in her small carrier to show the vet her butt after her exam.

My Delilah acted no different at the vets than anywhere else... a little mad as the vet examined her, and exited by the car ride, but no real noticeable personality changes

The budgies have no change in thier behavior..they don't have much use for people, anyway. The tiels stay the same towards people before, during, and after vet visits. Buddy seems to be very vocal after returning from the vet, otherwise there's no real change in his mood.
Milton doesn't do well with longer trips, such as to the vet....and hour and a half one way. He's antsy in his cage, chewing on his perch most of the way. He also tries to hide under my shirt while we're at the appointment.
Milty was also famous for hopping off the exam table (in the middle of his exam) , running to the door, opening it, and running down the hall!
Ever since that, the doors are securely closed during his exam...

Not even a full day guys! He's a little bit sweet still. He is preening me obsessively. But he's almost completely back to normal. Beaky, bossy and mischevious.

Nerd would be very happy after coming back from the vet. When we rarely went on vacation and had friends or family watch him he would be like talk to the tail for several days. Dobby had a great time at the bird boarder for 5 days but he was very greatful and loving when we came back.
