Advertising the forum

Since we understandably can't tell our friends over there, what can we do to help?

Someone mentioned craigslist, I thought that was a good idea, or yahoo answers

Maybe some one can make a logo with the website on it and we can post it on Myspace, Craigslist, Hoobly, Kijiji (or however its spelled), and other places like that?

Not on TP. On TP "avianavenue" is in there "curse word" list, and it will be censored and if a mod finds out, you will have your PM privaliges taken away for a period of time. And unless BB members are already members of TP, I would not advise you to go telling people to join other forums. That's spam/advertising, and will probably get you the same result that it will get you on TP...so, no I wouldn't if I were you...

Sure you can, as long as that forum allows it. Some do, some do not. Some forums get very uptight about people recruiting from their forum, as if they own them.. I am a member of a planted tank forum and they have a section for posting about other websites...so some are cool with it.

If you want I could open another my space account Just for the forum?

I'd give which ever mod wants the login info and all that stuff

but to take the burden off I could make it for y'all

they consider that recruiting still.

Telling any one about another bird forum is considered recruiting to most forums

I have done to craigslist adds in their pet section. One for portland, OR and one for seattle, WA. Got a couple members that way I know.

Other then that I also posted on my facebook & myspace just incase anyone wants to trickle in

I happened to see the announcement on TP right before the site went down. After that, I had no idea what was going on with it so I posted about AA on my FB page. I think a couple people found us that way

Maybe one of the owner/mods could make an AA facebook fan page? (I'm a relative noob to facebook, so I'm not sure how hard this is to do.)
