A scale with a perch

I want to get a scale with a perch like at the vet’s office so I can regularly weigh Lily (Senegal).
They are pretty pricey on amazon for what they are. So any advice on making one yourself? Or other handy ways of weighing birds? Is a bigger flat gram scale ok if it fits her?

I use a kitchen gram scale. $10 on Amazon. Ripley just walks up onto the scale but I've also used cheap baskets from Goodwill (the kind with a handle) for smaller birds to perch on while being weighed

I use a regular digital kitchen scale and with a mini perch stand (like this or this). Just zero out the scale after you put the perch on it, and ta-DA!

Cake and Pippin use it just fine, but Piper is a little stubborn about staying on the perch to be weighed.

I do this too. Both of my birds will just walk right up on to the scale now, one at a time. They wait, get their release and hop off to get their seed and the other hops on.

Sweet Pea was always so good about being weighed. Bebe will do it but it's only with some struggle.

My birds are always more frightened of a perch on the scale, so I just use the scale as is.

Sherbie was so used to being weighed, that at one point, she would just fly over to it whenever she wanted a treat.

My vet puts a plastic container on her scale and Gigi is fine when I put her inside.
