I have a GW who is too big to be hanged by one of those rings, but I don't like that when she breaks them up they are very sharp and can injure her - so no vine rings for her.
Yes, I've noticed the same thing with some plastic beads. My lovebirds don't chew them much if offered (they're both self confessed balsa addicts more than anything else), but I've seen some birds make some serious shards from plastic beads. I try to avoid them inside their cages, though the risk is pretty small for them.

I've never bought/made a toy for Chirp with vine rings, but I'll have to keep that in mind! Generally, if Chirp could get his head stuck, I won't use it. It's a good thing to keep in mind!
