Changes~ I did not care for the vases in there. So yesterday I picked up some aquarium things. The little cats really like the new cave in the middle, and the bigger one has one hidden over on the left side. You can see it in the reflection on the glass.

The new plants are cool. They are the shape of peacock feathers.

** Moby is back in qt for a few days. He got some tears in his fins and I want to catch it before he gets a bacterial infection.

It looks so good! I really love the blue in there, too. Hope Moby's fins heal quickly!

Love love the plants! Poor Moby…. it's always something with the fancies, they're so cool. I know you get a lot of enjoyment watching them. I'd like a streaming video of them!!!

Wow, you make aquarium keeping an art form! :jillone:
Makes me think of my moms aquarium. Boy she had an amazing aquarium, and it was fun to help her change the water and feed her guys. I can not remember the kinds of fish she had.... I ll ask her.
The aquarium was broken by me. I was a kid, and jumping on the sofas, which was NOT allowed, and I jumped, expecting to land on the sofa arm, and my head hit the acrylic aquarium stand. :skateboarder:
It was pretty brutal, and I broke her aquarium, but the fish were okay. I never was allowed to rough house in the living room again. I still have a knot on my head, I mean I was bleeding everywhere.
Admittedly this was 100 years ago so I don't remember much about their care, but do your fish respond to you at all?
also that last picture makes me jealous, now I want a tank! :cloud9:

If you're jealous now, you should see pics of the tank's past set ups! ;)

Thank you all. That is a wild story harlow! I will get some more pics. I made one more adjustment and added some taller feathery plants.

I love the changes, Carole! You have a knack for knowing what looks great! One thing to be aware of in case you haven't used those decorations before. If your decoration is plastic and has any little holes/ crevices in the back or underneath instead of being completely open or completely solid, they will harbor bacteria gases over time.

Thanks. :) I made some more changes. I went back to the blue sculpture, but without it's stand.
Thanks for the reminder Marie. I plan to take it out and clean it each time I do a water change. ;)

Carole, your tank and goldfish are stunning! I can not imagine being able to sit and watch your goldfish swim in such a beautiful aquarium.

Good thank you. Oh I see I did not update since May. Not long after that I lost Charlie too. :(The caves are no longer in the tank either.
I still have Moby the blue Oranda, and Sumo the Crown pearlscale.
I have an upcoming surprise, but I am not ready to say.. so you will have to wait to find out what it could be. A few more weeks. ;)
