Maryland is the state
090 is the band number

I have been trying to find out more about my senegal since I brought her? home 2.5 years ago! (I call her a her lol) I cannot find the breeder code anywhere. Band shows JPA fl(sideways) 210

FL= Florida 210 could be the birth month and year or it could be the id number for the bird.
JPA...??? JP makes me think of Jean Pattison but her aviary is African Queen and the code is AF QU
You can always check with the Yahoo band list group to see if they have any information.

The letters JPA stands for the facility where your bird was bread. the 210 only has significance to the breeder. Unlike the other poster, I would not assign any meaning to the 210 unless I talked to the breeder. The most likely meaning is "the 210th bird hatched at the facility".

Breeders usually order bands once per year before hatching session. Each batch of bands are usually pre-printed in sequential numbers. An custom (per bird) labeling system would cost more than most breeders would pay. Remember there is only a sort time-window that baby birds can be banded with close ring banding. That would mean making the bands after the bird hatches would be an expedited job with over-night shipping.

One of my birds did have his hatch date on his band. Sometimes breeders do that and sometimes the number is just an id number as per my post and as per your post. If they can figure out who the breeder is then they can contact them and get more info.

No idea about the BMA. Is the FL sideways? Probably refers to Florida. 369 could be the bird's id number. What type of bird is this?

Anyone know more about Parrot Castle? I'm guessing they're not in business anymore since I wasn't able to find google search results for them anywhere and the phone number listed doesn't appear to still be theirs. I was hoping to find out the age of a bird with AVA on her legband.

Not necessarily. Many of these are very outdated and no longer in business to be honest.

NC = North Carolina. 64 is probably her id number. PAW???

I'm a bit shocked to see she's from washington state :O I'm from WI, I've had her 6 years now, rescued from a breeder in WI

No idea about the breeder but bird probably born 1997. 1337 is most probably the id number and, as you already figured out, WA is Washington.

Im a happy girl! Yes today after 3 years of dead ends....finally a positive reply! I had found the breeder! still am in shock, I opened the message and read yes thats me! Thank you everyone who took the time to help me with finding her breeder. Earlier this evening the info I so much wanted to know... Bella's true hatch date! I feel like a child at Christmas lol
