I have a 8 week old macaw and was wondering when I can give a bath ? He has little spots of formula on him and I also use towels so he's always stepping in poop . He's even had poop on his beak . I change his towels daily and switch food it to where I can flip it 3 times so he's not surrounded by poop.

Until they are fully feathered you are best to just spot wash them with warm wet paper towels. It is always best to do this right after feeding to get the formula off before it hardens.

That's what I've been doing but when I got him there are a few places that the formula hardened. I'll keep working on those spots til then. It's nothing major just wanted to know.
Tha k you for your reply
