2 years clean!!!

I have officially been clean from self harming for 2 years!!!

Honestly, it's a miracle. If you came to me 2 years ago, and told me that not only would I be alive right now, but I'd be clean??? I wouldn't have believed you. I honestly thought I'd be dead by now.

I don't know how I did it, but here I am!!!

I'm off to go eat some celebratory pineapple!

Got frustrated and ended up scrapping it. Turned the rope into a large braid instead, which Chirp loves.

Sounds like me - they look so easy, but ALL those knots... seriously?
Sounds like a great idea to turn it into a braid. I couldn't tell you how many times
I tried crocheting a FLAT round piece and didn't increase stitching enough, so it turned into a
bun holder, or a bottle holder! LOL

@Fergus Mom I used to crochet all the time! I loved it. The nets are really difficult, you have to get it even in all directions. Mine looks warped. But the birbs don’t care!

With love, someone who's fifteen years "clean". It takes a lot of willpower and determination, and I'm proud of you. I think the first few years are the hardest because the response is so ingrained. In my experience, the urges never truly go away but they get easier to deal with, especially as you develop other coping strategies.

Also, no shame if you do self-harm when trying to stop. It really is a difficult impulse to overcome, and so many things have to align for you to be able to stop.
