I harvested three peas this morning. :yah:

Decided to open them so that each bird could have a few. So this was breakfast:

Sprouts (mung beans, kamut, spelt, wheat, buckwheat, chickpeas, peas, adzuki beans, lentils, radish, white mustard, seseme, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, safflower), strawberry, mango, kiwi, grapes, cherries, blueberries, pomegranate, plum, orange melon, carrot, celery, pea foliage and three homegrown hydroponic peas each! Chico and Bobbie get a dab of natural yogurt. I mix curcumin into Chico's yogurt (which turns it bright yellow) for his arthritis. Then top all of the dishes with freshly ground flaxseed (full of Omega 3).

That looks delicious as well as being healthy and nutritious. Do all of the birds eat everything or do they just pick out what they like?

They do tend to pick out what they like. I usually add some of the things they don't like in the hope that one day they will try them.... like broccoli (not in this morning's bowl). Nobirdie tried the pea leaves.

Nerd bird LOVED raw broccoli, he'd get all excited and do the baby bird beg when he saw any being brought out. I think Lurch was take it or leave it and I'm not sure if Dobby likes it or not. He DOES like sweet peas or whatever they're called as we got a few little veggie boxes with small pieces of lots of veggies and he loved the peas, and sometimes the little baby carrots. Of course Dobby will eat, or at least chew, almost anything.

None of my birds like broccoli. Jake tosses it out of his dish and says, "Ouch."

I am lucky my birds go mental for broccoli. I can even clip it on the play stand like a shred toy. Very popular, stem and all. They like cauliflower this way too :)

I am so jealous of the Broccoli Lovers! :D Bobbie used to like steamed broccoli but she has changed her mind about it. :meh:

It all looks so yummy!
Those peas look gorgeous, nothing more rewarding than picking your own food.

See, foraging is great for humans too....one of my favourite things to do lol.
