question how does one tag? And what does that do?

If you put a @ sign in front of a members name it will show up in thier alerts. It means its something of need or something they may find interesting. A tag is the best way I can think of it. (Like tag, your it). I'm not sure if that's what the actual forum lingo would be for it.

Tagging will let another member know to look at a certain thread because they have been tagged by someone typing the @ then their name straight after it like this @Teri Ray. Hope this helps.
