Hi all - new member

Hi all just joined this amazing site as I was browsing to find out more about mousebirds. I am from South Africa living in a small town called Langebaan on the west coast where there are many bird species. We have just successfully raised and rehabilitated a baby mousebird who fluttered into our house with a broken leg. Glad to say he is now fully integrated with the flock and comes in every morning for his breakfast! - what an amazing little fellow. The experience has enriched our lives and the bond between Kuifie and my wife Helena and myself is absolutely unique. He settles on my shoulder for his breakfast and morning "chat" and then flies off for the day doing what mousebirds do ! Looking forward to sharing "feathered" information with you all.
