not unusual at bedtime when I warm it up. But right now it was stone cold!
I’m very glad because I didn’t know if he’d eat it if I took the trouble to warm it up.

I don't know if temperature makes a difference to adult birds. I do heat up the evening grub for Lola and Henry. And, I see them eat more later before I take the bowls away and by then it is cold.

That’s how it is here too but I never thought Rudy would eat cold sweet potato! LScoot eats everything no matter how cold it’s gotten.

I made veggie mash for my tiels last night for the first time (usually just straight vegetable when served), but because they already foraged and had some dinner I left it for their breakfast.
I'll tell you now, there was a lot of staring at it but no touching. Could this be because they don't want it cold?

How do you serve it? Baked, boiled and mashed or sliced and al dente?
Steamed whole in the instant pot until very tender then sliced and peeled
