Hi, I've never used these bird forums for advice before since there was not much to ask. Our caique was gentle, funny, kind, ate all his veggies like a champ, and his hormones had mellowed. He wasn't a biter, but could bite, if that makes sense (he would step up and play when he was in the mood to but other times he wanted to be alone). He got along with strangers and could be handled by different people. He was about 15 when he died suddenly. We are beside ourselves as we feel that's only half of the normal lifespan. He was healthy and seen by the vet regularly. We had him since he was a baby. He was our only pet. Has anyone else lost a caique and at what age? I am so gutted.
