Urgent Kraz tiel's foot is discolored and lifeless

THE FUN NEVER CEASES IN THIS HOUSE!!!

Last night I noticed Kraz hobbling, but when I opened his door I realised that the cage was slightly unsteady, and assumed he was just wobbly because the cage moved when I opened his door.

This morning I can see it's his leg.

Yesterday, Taco figured out a new and novel way of letting himself out of his cage, and when I found him he was sitting on Kraz's. He'd broken Kraz's food dish and made it fall. That's Kraziffir's favourite place to perch. My immediate suspiscion is that Taco made him plummet to the ground with his bowl. He may also have caught him with his beak, though in that case Kraz probably wouldn't have a foot left at all.

Either way, my little boy is badly hurt. And of course at the same time as my puppy. And after missing work so much last week, I can't miss today or I'll have no money on my cheque for rent.

If someone could just come into my house and murder me, that would be great.

Do you at least have some Metacam at home to give Kraz relief from the pain. The best solution is to get him to a vet as soon as you can.

Does it appear that he has circulation in that foot and leg. Does it appear that he has broken bones? A cold pack on the foot as often as every hour or hour and one half will be helpful.

Yikes, that really looks painful! Hopefully it's just badly bruised. I would definitely call the vet at least until you're able to get him in, thought the sooner the better so it can heal properly.

Since Taco has discovered that fun, new trick you might want to zip tie a Plexiglas panel over that area of his cage, maybe 6" or so around? Heck, a Frisbee would work if it didn't scare Kraz. Poor little guy.

Oh no!! I'm sorry this is happening. Poor Kraz!! I hope you can get him a vet soon. @Hankmacaw advice is great, I've use a cold pack before and it was really helpful
