Don't go above 400F. Treat it as processed paper and make sure it's unbleached.

Do NOT use silicone baking mats!

Never knew about silicone mats being bad but I DON't have any but good to know!!!

That's why I said not to go over 400F. You're smart!

Although the FDA deemed it non-toxic for "food grade" only. Many AVs say that because so much is bought at dollar stores and box stores that has never been tested. Many countries use lead-based molds to join the bandwagon. Not knowing the origin, I preferred to "err on the side of caution."

Pure sillicates are bascally just super fine sand and non-toxic. Just buy reputable, food-grade mats then you and your birds will be fine.
