How are there “over 500 colors” of 500 birds? I don’t know if the ad is real, but if so, that’s got to be someone who was breeding on a large scale and just wants out now. I don’t know how someone can maintain a healthy flock with that many birds in captivity.

Ugh I thought of this post when I came across this news story today:

Weirdly, I hope this is just a scam Craigslist posting and that there really isnt just 500 budgies needing to be re-homed

Hoarding is tied to a mental illness, or more specifically an emotional illness. It’s not “sick” as in evil - it is actually sickness.
