Success with Sweet Potato

I have had a heck of a time with my Freddy Galah eating sweet potato. I have tried it mixed with kale, sprinkled seed on top which worked for two days. Then I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and gave him one. Well he couldn't get his little mouth around that fast enough! Then I remembered my son at 4 yrs old. I made potato wedges instead of buying frozen. Just herb seasoning and non stick spray. I didn't bother with the seasoning and just turned them until slightly crisp and done. He loves them! He's starving today and I noticed he's devouring them but I have to leave the room because if I stick around he tries to get me to give him seed! He's such a stinker! MOM...CAN I HAVE CANDY....PLEEEEESE? LOL I may be going crazy but I swear he speaks telepathically!

I swear I am going nuts! Starting to obsess over his diet, how much veggies he eats...how much pellets....the lovebirds eat anything! I can't wait until he gets to that point. I know he will. My lovebirds weren't always good eaters. Persistence is what did it.

Whew he loves the cinnamon on those! Today I baked a sweet potato in the microwave, quartered it, sprinkle with cinnamon, and hung a quarter on their hanging skewer! Easy and he likes that too! Funny how he doesn't want it mashed so fine, why do it if I can just cut it and give it to them lol.

Hey I have a food cutting tool that cuts fries! I forgot about that!
