I sure hope so!

Part of the reason I took it down was because he's been so nesty and amorous lately. Trying to hump me a lot and regurgitating. He even hangs out in the corner of the couch and gets all fluffy and relieves himself there, since he can't do it on me.

My hope was that by taking it down he would have his world shaken up a little (he didn't seem too shooken up though, lol)

Plus, I was hoping he'd forget about the cabinet and get back to work on building.

So I guess construction season is over but not sure if hormone season is over just yet?

Awesome nest builder you have. Have you tried giving him chopsticks? 1 of my friends her Quakers builds with them.. Mine don't build , But some of them are weavers, They use parts from their toys.

Never thought of giving him chopsticks before. I will try to offer some as soon as I can. Thanks for thinking of it!

Yes, unfortunately, I think it'll go on for a bit longer. I think that is why he's obsessed with chewing the cabinet right now. I think he's trying to get into it. :cautious:
Try giving him a small box or boxes you've received items in. My sun loves them, destroys them in a day but it keeps him busy and doesn't cost me a dime ...

Do you need to avoid giving the printed parts of the box? It would be so much easier not to need to do that.

Blu deserves some sort of award for his impressive construction project. :) I've mentioned before that Ralph thinks plastic straws are good for chewing up but not for building. He's been doing a lot of building-- two sticks here, two sticks there, another somewhere else-- then graaaccckkk! My cue to pull the sticks apart so he can start all over. :D Fortunately, he doesn't chew on furniture-- that's Scooter the CAG's job, apparently. I've had to cover the cabinet next to her cage with a plain white towel when she's out to keep her from munching on it.

I'd cut off any taped sections but I've given Tik small coffee and wine boxes. He doesn't eat them but he loves shredding them and will go through a Keurig coffee box in a day. His playstand looks like I've never cleaned it up.
