Jan 8th Cricket had a freak flying accident. She flew into my 125 gallon fish tank and broke her neck. RIP little one.

Oh no ! I'm so sorry to hear this.
She took off while I was feeding her. I was a shock. I have had birds and tanks for many years. Never had one fly into the fish tank before. Has me rethinking leaving my other pet birds flighted. Joey and Scooter rarely fly and they are both heavy birds and don't fly far are high when they do but still....

My Duckie has hit a window very hard in the past, which makes sense, but a fish tank seems like it would be safe enough in most cases. I don't know a good answer, but it does seem like just a freak accident, like you said. I'm very sorry.
