It seem when I am tagged sometimes there is no alert to let me know. Other times it does show an alert. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Usually it's the person tagging to blame. If they tag but don't click the name it won't work, if they copy a tag, edit a tag, edit a post to include a tag... it won't work.

Sometimes people leave a space after the @ which also does not work. And I found out yesterday that adding a @ in front of a user name does not create a link (tag).

You have to see and click the name to get it to tag.
