Hello, with sadness we are looking to rehome our 4 year old Green Cheek Conure, Marty McFly, as we have a 1 year old who has sleep issues and unfortunately the even relatively quiet sounds of our Green Cheek are creating some daytime sleep issues in our small home.

Marty is friendly, affectionate and was hand-raised by us from the earliest age possible. Like all green cheeks, Marty can be a little nippy with strangers but doesn't often bite. He is on a cooked food diet of Crazy Corn or similar (oats, veggies, beans, dried fruits and nuts cooked in a porridge) and he is extremely healthy. We'd like to ensure that he is rehomed to someone who will continue this diet. Please send me a reply if you think Marty might be the right fit for your bird family.

Would it be possible to just move Marty's sleeping location? You can get him used to sleeping in a carrier and that way you can put him in your room or somewhere further away from the kiddo.

Another alternative; do you think your kiddo could get used to having a radio playing ambient sounds (think white noise types) during naptime/sleep time? Might help your child get used to noise as well as help sleep.

:) Just a suggestion. I think you and Marty would prefer to stay together.

Unfortunately we live in a 2 BR apt. When it is our little one's nap time Marty screeches VERY loudly. Our little one is already having issues with his naps and sleep.

San Diego and $100 to ensure he’s going to a committed forever home.
