Poor sweet baby...sorry...:sorrow:

The infection does travel in the body once its gets out of the crop.
Could have vomited a bit into the lungs so it infected them too...

Parasites are not that common...she could have had that for awhile.
The eggs can be excreted in the feces so if the new one was in contact with the bird, its cage or its feces it could have contacted it.

Could be protozoan too not just worms but you said it traveled...

I'd really disinfect the cage.

Was the new bird from the same breeder?

Please have the new baby checked/treated for the parasite.

Too bad the new baby was not quarantined as it would likely be OK.

Awww I am so sorry! Poor little thing.

Please don't be too hard on yourself. You are not a vet. You did the best you could.

Yeast is common in cockatiels.the parasite, I don't know.

Rip little one. :sorrow:

I would definitely disinfect the cage, take the other chick to the vet, and call the breeder. It is possible that the little one came to you sick without you knowing it. 'Tiels are notorious for pretending to be healthy until it's too late.
