so this afternoon me and my bf went to the breeder...
we arrived to fing a bunch of babies playing around on the kitchen table (superb and plum headed), with a blue fronted amazon and a blue and gold macaw to watch over them under supervision of course.
we thought it would be easy to choose but it was the opposit.
we imediatly fell in love with one female barraband that was very curious and exploring as well as a plum headed thatfollowed her and was full of energy !!!!!
so we stayed there looking at them talking to them, watching their behavior and looking for signs of illness etc...
from the moment they hatched they lived together and were handfed together.
we asked to see the green cheek and because they told us that the 3 cheek babies are bullies to the barraband and plum headed they had to put them back in their cage, so then they let the cheeks come out and it was a nightmare !!
the cheeks hated us and were super aggressive ! that was a chock to me ... they were only interested in bullying the keets through the cage bars and climbing on their owners....
after a while we decided to let the keets come out again and put the cheeks in their own cage.
my boyfriend had a preference for the barraband and me for the plum head ... after an our we came into a agreement to take both home and if they don't get alone while growing up we will get a second cage in order to separate them.
i know some of you will not agree with our decision but we made our decision as responsable adult and will do everything in our power to make them happy and do whats best for them.
for now they will house together as long as they are happy together, by the way they are sleeping togetheragainst one another.
in their travel cage
so first let me introduce you to lady barraband that don't have a name.
and the he/she plum head
