Baby Red Tail Hawk Fed By Mom and Dad Eagle

Baby Hawk in Eagle nest instead of the Hawk nest. The foster parents are taking care if it. Makes me wonder what happens to this Hawk as he grows up with siblings. Will instinct kick in?

He will fledge before the eagles. I hope his instincts kicks in and he realizes he is not and eagle.
They believe baby hawk was to be dinner but he must exhibited a feeding response that triggered the parents to start feeding him.
Fascinating!

Mom and dad eagle must be wondering why it fledged so soon compared to the siblings.

They are magnificent. I haven't discovered the latest update on the Spunky the Hawk.

One eaglet fledged yesterday, hawklet "Spunky" still returns to nest for feedings.vid just missed the eaglet fledging but shows him in flight and landing to perch.

Wow that is amazing! Wonder if that little RTH will start catching fish?

People have observed him try to catch a rabbit...which is what his species eat..rodents and critters like that....

Right, I realize that. But since bald eagles mainly hunt fish I thought he might be a bit confused. BTW I am a falconer and have trained and flown many red-tailed hawks. They are beautiful, majestic birds in their own right.
