Not sure how it will come out, but I can get more free grapewood where this came from if it doesn't work.
This piece was just begging to have something cool done to it!

Predrilling holes and notches for countersinking SS bolts.

Attaching a counter bracing

And now I am adding some fun! Had to stop to let Hubs mow that area for a bit. Will post more as I add.

Almost done! Tiles for the base, SS bolts for mounting, wrapping a few gapped connections to protect the tootsies, and add a few toys! I am kinda proud of it so far.

Indoors. I am replacing the other play stand. I think it has little bugs in it. Keep finding sawdust at the base.

Thanks y'all! Had to stop for the night and feed animals, laundry, dishes, feed people (the nerve!), and some birdie time. Will go to Lowe's after work and get the tiles or Plexi for the base and hopefully finish it off tomorrow night. Will post pictures of the final product.

I love grapevine. If you start shaping and screwing it when it's still wet you can make the neatest shapes.
