I saw it about 2 weeks ago on another bird forum...
I was actually hoping that guy did not just try to rip the bird off the fence.
Pretty good thinking to use his breath. I was thinking warm water would have been better
but in hindsight when you are out in a field that's hard to find!

Hope the birds feet were not too frozen & he survived.

I was kind of upset the guy let the bird go... I mean, I'm glad he helped the bird, but I feel like he should have taken the bird to a vet or rehab or some place to double check that the bird's feet were in fact okay!


Frost bite could mean dead flesh which could mean gangrene or something else... :(
