Once Lurch trusted me and was mostly friendly I'd laugh at him when he was strutting on his cage trying to show what a rough tough motorcycle rider he was, it would just make him mad and display more I use to quickly ruffle his fluffy feathers too and he's usually make a half hearted lunge at me though a couple of times he did catch me and I paid the price for messing with himI figured when that happened it was my own fault

Of dear! I would never touch him if he was strutting! But when he wants to step up he'll lift a foot up. I trust that he'll be nice when he does this. Leto gets over his fits quickly

I could actually touch Nerd when he was strutting and he wouldn't bite me, he didn't like it but he wouldn't. That of course was after many years of trust in each other and I wouldn't recommend touching any bird in any kind of display strut if you want to keep all your appendages.

Exactly right! I work 12 hr shifts so I miss him a lot and want to say good night, but he's always sleeping I think you captured his feelings well
