She might end up laying sometime during the night possibly. She is having some huge eggs but it goes with the huge personality

Ok, so she's still got egg butt as of now. I was really surprised she didn't lay earlier today or even in the late afternoon (I just got home). I've been setting a cup of hot water near the cage in hopes that the steam will help her. Dunno if it will, but I don't have a humidifier handy so it'll have to do for now. According to tracking, those darned fake eggs should finally be here tomorrow. So much for rush delivery.

Try bringing her into a steamy bathroom for a while.
Eggs will be alright as long as see sees them as her own. Guess mommies are so wanting of there eggies that they will accept anything close. Maybe rub your fingers over the old eggies & transfer some scent to the fake eggies.

She did not lay her egg, so in the morning if she hasn't done it, I'll take her in the steamy bathroom. I keep thinking I'm going to see her tired/listless like I keep reading, but she's been very very active. Good appetite, drinking plenty, kinda large poops. I wonder why she is taking longer to lay this one compared to the other two.

The worst part? I work most weekends and if she requires a vet visit I'm going to be in big trouble.

Her eggs are big. Who knows what size this one is.
Its good she isn;t on the bottom straining. Maybe its just not time?
They usually are a day or 2 apart but I am far from an expert.
Good she is active & eating & acting normal.

Doesn't seem like its time or she might be straining. It might just need more time.
Steam is supposed to make it easier.

Gosh I guess things never happen at the best times...The world is full of what they call entropy.
It's a messy place & we have to do our best to pick up the pieces.

Hope she lays it tomorrow.

Definitely no straining. She's just being a busybody and constantly trying to rummage under blankets. I had her in the steamy bathroom for a little while. Hoping that helps her. The egg is really low in her but it doesn't look like her cloaca is in any distress. It's just the regular pink color with no real bulging. Ugh. It's stressing me out big time that she's not trying to get this egg out.

I'm about to check on her. If she hasn't, I'm going to call the vet and go in today. My coworkers were sweet and are covering my shift today. My next day off is Wednesday and that is just too late for waiting!

Omg, just uncovered the side of her cage. She laid it!!! She was laying kinda funny with her legs kinda spread out, like she was sleeping in the same position that she laid her egg. Is that ok?

Strangely enough that egg seemed just a tad smaller. No blood from what I could tell. Wonder why the stinker two extra days to lay it.

Welcome to henhood. Happy laid six this round and is t total B to mama...a feather that floats by...shadows...a plant 6 feet across the room...any imaginary thing she "thinks" wants her eggs.
All i can say is ...good luck. And keep your sense of humor. If sherbs does any of what happy does your going to need it. I got reemed good changing happys water. Im up to six little holes in my hand. One for each egg i guess...lol!
