Today it seems that Blu's feathers by his preen glad look different. I guess the best way to describe it is, they are kind of wispy & spread out instead of being zipped together.

Does anyone have any idea if this is something I should be concerned about?

Nah, they just get worn out because they get more attention by being in the way :)

:wideyed: I never got that close to Rios butt...He's not a big preener & I guess he has a preening gland
but never paid much attention. It seems reasonable if they have to get oil from the gland that those feathers would be a little out of place.

Glad others could put your mind at ease...

Looks like all your feather worries, including the ruffled feathers, could be solved with a good bath. Has Blu had one recently?

Blu actually did not have a bath yesterday when I posted this, and I wondered if that was why he looked weird too. He usually gets baths or spray downs a few times a week but I didn't have time yesterday. I will offer him a nice warm tub today. Thank you!

Nope. I'm having a bad hair day too. :D

He's all dry now and they still pretty much look the same. I guess it's just what Shawna said. I'm not too concerned but I will continue to keep an eye out, just to make sure it doesn't get worse.
