Oh no! I think doing that traumatizes me more than the birds. Paco only once had to have his beak filed down a bit due to an uneven point, and the scream he made was so awful and unlike anything I have ever heard him make. He was so bad the vet had to give him a bit of gas, which traumatized me even more. Now we will try our darndest to get any uneven point slowly filed down at home without a dremel. The nails still need a dremel though! Too bad they cannot make a silent high powered dremel for us bird folks, I think that would take half the fear of nail trims away.

I have some divas in my flock when it comes to nail/beak/wing trims so you're not alone. In fact they usually make it sound as if somebody is slowly torturing them to death. Much like how pigs can squeal when they're being handled/vaccinated or being treated for something. Oy vey!
