Kiko my young cockatiel keeps undoing knots on it's toys. I always have to put the toys together and tie it up and Kiko untie it again. How can I stop Kiko from undoing knots.

Don't. Untying knots is playing too. Maybe give him a toy that is mostly knots.

Kiko's having fun and sounds like she enjoys the challenge. Smart birdie!

Don't stop him!!! Cockatiels are very intelligent birds and unknotting their toys are a healthy form of stimulation for them. It's not only a form of entertainment but also an outlet for decreasing stress and boredom. I have to fix Pumpkins toys (or replace them!) frequently but he's so worth it!

Don't stop Kiko. It's fun and it's good for problem solving. I have several birds who love undoing knots. In fact they can undo ones that I can't.

I've been tempted to purchase that.

I just bought a couple domino blocks for MC. Need to remember to get them out for him. They had shaped platform perches at our fair on Saturday. I managed to avoid those for the time being.

We need to tempt them to join here as a vendor.

Rebel likes to take things apart so I started putting some pipe cleaners around stuff in her cage. she will spend lots of time undoing them and then I just wrap some new ones on. she loves it

Be careful with the pipe cleaners, they're probably not made out of metal that's safe for birds to chew on (Nickel plated or stainless steel).

Yeah, just forgot about the mother lode (my dudes don't do knots.... yet).
Don't feel bad, most of mine don't either. I love the picture I posted because it shows the undone knots so well and I think they're so pretty!:)

I have a friend who likes to use it as a foraging toy and hides all sorts of treats within the knots.
