Update on Birdie. He has learned to perch. This happened yesterday evening.

He is also learning to fly and is doing great at landing.

We did have a scare 3 days ago. We introduced water on advice from the vet. Put the water on a little shallow lid and he started to drink by himself. But then it looked like it went down the wrong way. I turned him upside down and exspeled the water. I then quickly called the vet. Make a long story short I did the right thing and I believe they have my name listed at the vet as crazy paranoid bird parent lol. Also he is not getting water that way anymore just little droplets from my finger like before. I don't need anymore scary moments lol

He's looking good. Sorry about the scare with the water. You can try it again in a few days but put even less on the lid. I don't remember when Spee started drinking on his own. I also started with just putting a small amount on a small lid/bottle top.

Yesterday he took his first bath. First he was taking a bath in the juice of the berries that he was eating so I decided to switch him to water.

More updated photos please...when you get a chance. It's great to read how well he is doing. You are his mom now and you are a super mom for helping him survive and thrive.

Perching & taking baths!!!
He does look like he's getting redder!
Glad you helped him expel the water.
I guess he needs to learn how to drink & swallow.
He looks so good & healthy!

Congrats!
